In the package was An African Tale, which was sent to me by the author, Enna Neru. I've been intrigued by Botswana ever since I started reading The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series. The other book, Number the Stars by Lois Lowry, which I'd ordered from an Amazon.com marketplace seller, also arrived today, and has been recommended to me by many.

Diary of an Eccentric
I used to read Number The Stars to my class every year. It's my favorite book of Lois Lowry's, and it's so suspenseful! A few parents were worried about me bringing up WWII issues, as their children were young (third grade) so I've stopped, but it is an outstanding book. It's certainly worth reading for every child fifth grade or higher.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on receiving your 2 books, loving the photo.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your review on An African Tale. Have a great weekend :)
I always love looking at everyone's mailbox and seeing what new books have mede it onto their shelves! These both look great, and I will be looking forward to your reviews! I hope you participate in this meme more often!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking a few moments to comment on my first Mailbox Monday. Like many of you, I get a lot of books in the mail from a variety of sources, but I didn't intend to do this meme until I saw the package from Botswana.
ReplyDeleteMore comments are welcomed as always.
