Two books arrived in the mail today!
Run by Ann Patchett arrived all the way from the Netherlands, along with a beautiful poem and holiday note signed, "A friend from the other side of the Ocean". Special thanks to my Secret Santa from the Book Blogger Holiday Swap for the lovely gift. I think I'll really enjoy reading it.
I received Love Your Body, Love Your Life by Sarah Maria from Paula and Penny of Author Marketing Experts, Inc.. I chose to read this book because it's endorsed by Deepak Chopra, David Simon, and others, and because it sounds like a very positive book, especially for women.
While I receive many books in the mail, this is only my second Mailbox Monday, which is hosted by Marcia from The Printed Page.
Your secret santa did good! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading! I'm very glad you're so happy with your gift :D
ReplyDeleteThat is GREAT! Receiving Secret presents always gives me the thrills :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy both the books!
looks like two great books-hope you enjoy them
ReplyDeleteWhat a great holiday swap gift! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI read "Run" last year and enjoyed. I'm looking forward to your thoughts.

You got your Secret Santa gift, that is nice. It sounds like a great book.
ReplyDeleteTwo great looking books! I think your Secret Santa did a great job.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these look like great books, and I've actually had the pleasure of reading the first few chapters of Run while I was "working" at a book fair last year. It was really very interesting and I think you will like it a lot. I can't wait to see your review! I am so glad you are participating in Mailbox Mondays, I am thinking of doing the same in the new year.
ReplyDeleteWow, great! My sister really likes Ann Patchett, which says a lot for someone who doesn't read much. I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the comments! I'm extremely pleased with my Secret Santa gift. Now if I can only figure out who the giver is! I think I'll do Mailbox Monday posts once in a while. After all, I get so many books in the mail, and it's lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteAdditional comments welcomed.
I LOVE the cover on your copy of RUN. I enjoyed that book and hope you do as well.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on receiving two great books, happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteDiane, it is a pretty cover, isn't it? I hope to read the book relatively soon.
ReplyDeleteAnne Marie, thanks!
Aren't we book bloggers lucky to get all these wonderful books?! It took me a while, but now I totally "get" Mailbox Monday.
More comments welcomed. :)
Hee, how mysterious!
ReplyDeleteMy first encounter with the name Deepak Chopra was in my dad's library in our old home, way back when I was in early grade school. Of course it'd take more than a decade before I'd turn into a reader myself, but I think I kind of browsed through one of his books when I was a kid :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the cover on Run is quite pretty.
