Mailbox Monday

Aren't books and boxes beautiful?  I've combined the two in this iPhone photo because we've been getting fruit and other treats in stunning boxes this season in the mail.  Many of these boxes will be reused to hold ornaments and cards and other stuff.  Book wise, I received Wolfsangel by Liza Perrat from the author, and We by Michael Landweber for an upcoming TLC tour.

Something else arrived in the mail for the holidays, an adorable red sweater for Daisy, custom crocheted by Naida, the bookworm.

The color is bright, the fit is just right, and it keeps Daisy toasty warm.

The sweater works well with her harness, so it's perfect for walks!

Created by Marcia from To Be Continued, Mailbox Monday is a fun, social meme that's been "on tour" for the past few years.  Gilion from Rose City Reader is the host for December.  What new books have you added to your collection recently?

  2. Daisy is gorgeous in her new sweater! Our little Milou hated sweaters and would walk funny whenever we put one on her. Enjoy your new books!

  3. I Love Daisy;s new sweater...and so sweet of Naida to send such a darling gift for the cutest dog :) I love those boxes too, so cheerful and festive and love the covers of the books you received. I am especially digging the cover of "ME", can't wait to her what you think of it :)

  4. Yummy, boxes of fruit and books! And Daisy looks so fashionable in her sweater. My poodle never liked his sweater but he tolerated it when temps went below freezing.

  5. What a great color on the sweater! Our dog (a 15yo JRT) has never tolerated any garments - much to my disappointment ;-) Those boxes are perfect for holding ornaments, etc. Enjoy your new books!
BTW, I couldn't get the link at the MM post to bring me here so I searched your blog name.

  7. I see Naida is spoiling Miss Daisy. She is walking so proud in her new red sweater, instead of driving Miss Daisy, you are walking Miss Daisy.

  14. Aww! Daisy is just too cute and I'm so glad she is enjoying the sweater. If Diego saw her, it'd be love at first sight...lol.

I agree, beautiful books and boxes! I have Wolfsangel on my Nook, I've heard nothing but good things about that one. Happy reading!

The sweater is adorable. Thanks again, Naida! We'll have to compare notes on Wolfsangel. :)

  15. Love the sweater! Hope you like Wolfsangel as much as I did. (It's hard to say "like" or "enjoy" when the book is about a horrible wartime atrocity, but you know what I mean!)
